The Education and Research team have responsibility for leading and shaping the occupational therapy profession in terms of research, pre-registration education, and continuing professional development.
This is an exciting opportunity to gain a role with a national profile in research leadership. This post is part of a team with a strategic brief that includes influencing activity and building research capacity for the profession. A significant piece of work that this role will contribute to over the next 12-18 months is refreshing the R & D strategy.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Leading, developing and managing a range of research policies and resources.
- Researching, reviewing and reporting on relevant UK wide policy and legislation to inform Royal College R&D policy and strategy.
- To undertake to lead on research governance within the organisation.
- Supervising and guiding the R & D Officers.
For this role we therefore require an experienced and strategic individual with a doctoral qualification and a sound understanding of occupational therapy practice and research. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, the ability to establish priorities and produce high quality written outputs. Experience in line management, research and publication are essential.
