The programme provides RCOT volunteers with an introduction to the organisation of the College, its roles and functions. Equips members with the tools to lead within their designated roles.
Members who complete this training will gain:
- An awareness of the organisation’s structure and key priorities.
- An understanding of the essential role of RCOT membership.
- Tools and resources for managing day to day business of the Regions and Specialist Sections.
- Opportunities for networking, questions and answers.
- An awareness of resources available to support various activities.

You will receive confirmation by email of your place on this session including details of the location within two weeks of your application.
The College will meet travel expenditure for Specialist Sections and RCOT Regional Committee activists only. When booking travel to attend, if the cost will exceed £100, please give a courtesy call to Louise Cusack, UK Regional and Specialist Sections Manager (020 7450 2336) to discuss. As with all member training events, we ask that you please keep travel costs to a minimum by booking in advance wherever possible.
Please keep all receipts as expenses cannot be paid without production of a receipt; expense forms will be available on the day to reclaim your travel expenses. Expense claims must be submitted for payment within 3 months of being incurred. Claims for expenses outside this period will be rejected.
We would like to stress that to enable as many individuals to attend these and future training sessions, the cheapest fare possible is to be booked.
