The Elizabeth Casson Trust
Are you an occupational therapist interested in giving back to the profession?
Would you like to become a Trustee?
The Elizabeth Casson Trust is a charitable Trust and fund established in 1948 on behalf of Dr Elizabeth Casson, founder of occupational therapy in the UK. Our purpose is to provide funds to support the ‘furtherance of occupational therapy’ primarily, but not exclusively, in the UK.
Our Board comprises 10 members all of whom bring their own professional skills to the Trust. We are primarily a virtual group who undertake the majority of our work remotely. The commitment expected from our trustees is attendance at four meetings each year as well as participation in at least one of the working groups responsible for a strand of our strategy.
We are currently looking for two new trustees to complement our Board:
An occupational therapist from non-statutory/independent sector with business expertise.
An individual with research expertise and national view of our profession’s research strategy.
