A fantastic opportunity has arisen at our Brighton Centre for a forward thinking Rehabilitation Services Manager to lead the development and delivery of our holistic, bespoke rehabilitation service for our Blind Veterans.
Blind Veterans UK believes that no one who has served our country should have to battle blindness alone. We deliver life-changing services to vision impaired ex-Service men and women in the UK.
You will provide leadership (including clinical leadership) to our multidisciplinary teams, including Rehabilitation (Visual Impairment); Technology; Rehabilitation Support; Sports and Rec.; Art and Craft and Activities. These teams provide our beneficiaries with assessment and rehabilitation programmes, focusing on maximising independence, improving wellbeing and engagement in meaningful activity.
You will also be responsible for the delivery and development of our engaging themed rehabilitation weeks, along with our weekly in-house activities and evening entertainment programme for members staying at the centre.
As part of our Brighton Centre Leadership Team, you will share responsibility for creating a highly positive and solution focussed culture, reflecting the Charity’s values and vision for leading change. Together with the Centre Leadership Team you will be part of setting the future direction of our Centre.
You will have real drive, excellent relationship building skills and the desire to embrace our “one team” ethos, along with the ability to inspire and develop our multidisciplinary teams.
An experienced people manager, you will have an understanding of how meaningful activity can be used to maximise wellbeing, and the ideal candidate will have up to date knowledge of the vision impairment (VI) field. You will have a rehabilitation qualification in a related discipline, such as rehabilitative studies (VI), occupational therapy, physiotherapy etc., or equivalent experience.
