The SI Network is seeking a Director of Research to join the Board of Directors team, with a focus on leading on the development of research capacity and capability of sensory integration practitioners.
The successful candidate will enjoy working as part of a dedicated team and will have the opportunity to experience many aspects of SI Network’s work and contribute to the development of the organisation overall.
Outline Responsibilities
- Promoting the research strategy for SI Network;
- Developing and sustaining SI Network’s network of funders, researchers, academics, policy makers, associates and supporters;
- Working with the rest of the Board of Directors to build and strengthen SI Network’s external reputation, and its internal systems and processes;
- Delivery of high quality research and policy outputs, as identified within the organisation’s research strategy.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Registration as an Occupational Therapist with the relevant regulatory authority;
- Occupational Therapy qualification is essential to balance the current professional composition of the Board.
- PHD / doctorate –or working towards completion of same.
- Reader/ Senior lecturer/ Professor / Chair/ Clinical Research Fellow - desirable.
- Professional education in ASI is desirable, specifically Practitioner or Advanced Practitioner status or equivalent.
