We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Band Six occupational therapist to join our team in the Community Neuro Therapy Service, which includes Early Supported Discharge for stroke patients. The Community Neuro Therapy Team strives to provide high quality, specialised care for with patients who have wide range of neurological conditions including stroke, multiple sclerosis, parkinsons and motor neurone disease.
The postholder will work as part of a Multi-disciplinary team, including occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech and language therapists and rehabilitation assistants. The team predominately treat patients within their own home or the community environment, therefore a full clean driving license and use of a car is essential. We are looking for an individual with clinical experience in the area of neuro-rehabilitation who demonstrates an energetic, enthusiastic and flexible approach to their work.
The ability to work well with all members of the multi-disciplinary team in achieving patient outcomes is essential. We are committed to supporting CPD with staff training identified through the appraisal system, in service training and clinical supervision. Attendance at post registration courses is also supported. As part of our excellent range of staff benefits and support, new starters to the Trust joining community services may be eligible for a £2000 payment if their post has been identified as a hard to fill role.
Due to recent organisational changes, there is scope for this post to develop to become rotational or an integrated role working across acute and community settings.
