An article appeared in January OTnews inviting members to stand for vacant seats on Council.
As a result, one nomination from Lyn Westcott was received for the seat of Council Member, Learning and Development Board, which means that she is considered to be duly elected and will start her three-year term of office at the AGM on 20 June 2017.
Two nomination forms were received for the Chair of Council vacancy and, therefore, a ballot organised by the Electoral reform Services (ERS) took place. The results communicated by ERS are as follows:
3,990 out of 31,727 members eligible to vote took part in the ballot; a turnout of 12.3% which is a small increase on last year’s ballot when 11.1% members voted.
Result of ballot for Chair of Council
Dr Patricia McClure 2,702 ELECTED
Dr Lynne Goodacre 1,286
