The Challenge
The university I work at runs a BSc and MSc program in Occupational Therapy. This year we worked with students to set up a University OT society and the first event we agreed on was a multi-targeted approach to OT Week.
The Change
To enhance OT visability on the campus we planted willow trees. We engaged in a pledge exercise to promote small change big impact. We set up a stall in the markets to promote the week. We contacted the BBC Radio Cumbria and had a slot on their show
The Impact
Over 50 people pledged in our market stall to make small changes in their lives. The trees on campus will have a lasting OT legacy We discussed the role of OT on the radio and in the market to promote the work that OTs do in Cumbria.
