The Challenge
A child was growing quickly and needed support in his wheelchair to keep his posture straight. He didn't like the way the chest harness looked and refused to wear it.
The Change
The standard chest harness was replaced with a special shoulder strap which was less intrusive and had the appearance to look like he was wearing a rucksack.
The Impact
The child was happy to wear his 'rucksack harness' and kept it on whenever he was using his wheelchair. His posture was better aligned and supported, with reduced likelihood of him developing a scoliosis as he grew taller.
