The Challenge
John experienced a stroke resulting in difficulties with left-sided weakness, reduced verbal fluency, fatigue, reduced confidence, fitness tolerance & being unable to remain at work post-stroke. He set a rehab goal to return to work, then covid hit.
The Change
As the Covid pandemic hit, not only did the clients job role change but also the way we were delivering our Neuro rehab vocational rehab changed. We switched from home visits to phone & virtual sessions including meeting with his employer online.
The Impact
He has now successfully returned to his paid job role, & is currently building up both his hours & duties in a sustainable way. Both his manager & colleagues are providing positive feedback on his performance & recovery. John is v happy to be back.
