The Challenge
The limited amount of face to face lectures and lack of students being on campus was creating increased uncertainty and anxieties for the new cohort of Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy students starting at university during the Covid pandemic.
The Change
Part of a student engagement team, I helped to design and create a number of informative & engaging powerpoints and student perspective Q&A sessions, and presented these virtually over 4 evenings to help alleviate concerns regarding changes.
The Impact
Whilst attendance and interaction demonstrated the benefits of engagement, feedback highlighted that peer interaction, sharing concerns and reflections have alleviated anxieties, enhanced students' initial experience and prepared them for university.
