The Challenge
We noticed a lack of student placement provision in some sites. We wanted to support an increase in focus and provision of student placements across the regions of the occupational therapy directorate.
The Change
We invited each of our local university placement tutors to attend a section of our regional OT meetings to provide two way updates and explore opportunities of placement provision using a variety of placement models.
The Impact
This helped further development of local networks and promoted student education. Since this was introduced we have seen a significant increase in student placement provision.
