Accessibility statement
Our commitment
We believe in offering digitally accessible services to our users. We recognise that everyone’s needs are different, so we aim to make our services as accessible as possible for our users, including people with disabilities and long-term conditions. We also understand that the needs of our users and the support they need may change over time.
Our approach
This website has been built to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) v2.2 AA. These standards include information and resources to help ensure that our applications and systems are built to be digitally accessible.
While testing the website, we’ve involved members within the occupational therapy community who have a variety of needs –to ensure we move beyond compliance and can offer a genuinely accessible experience. This testing was conducted by Web Usability, an independent research agency,.
Our website accessibility now
We want as many people as possible to be able to use our digital products and services. To achieve this, we:
- support browser or device settings to change colours and contrast levels
- support keyboard or speech recognition software to navigate our products
- provide alternative text and logical heading structures to support screen readers
- make sure links have meaningful text that shows the user what to expect when they click on it, instead of using ’click here’
- present improved form navigation with labelled fields and a logical tab sequence.
Preparing this accessibility statement
We prepared this statement on 1 April 2025 and last reviewed it on 1 April 2025.
We’ll regularly review our website against the WCAG 2.2 AA standard and update this accessibility statement to reflect any further changes.
We welcome your feedback
We research and test our website design with users who have a variety of needs. We value getting feedback so we can learn and improve.
