Contributing to OTnews

You can help us celebrate our profession by sharing your success stories! We’re always looking for news and features about your innovative service developments and best practice. We also run a series of special focus issues each year.

Read our author guidelines to find out how to submit an article. Get in touch with us if you’ve got an idea you’d like to discuss. And remember that you’ll need to have your employer’s approval before submitting your article.

Please submit all content at least two weeks before the start of the issue. For example: the October/November issue copy deadline is September 15; the December/January issue copy deadline is November 15, and so on.

Advertising in OTnews

OTnews is the ideal publication to reach occupational therapists – from students just starting out in their careers, to researchers and consultant occupational therapists. It’s the only dedicated best practice magazine, distributed bi-monthly to all RCOT members, reaching all levels of the profession.

Recruit research participants

If you’re an RCOT member, you can request to use OTnews as one of the ways to recruit other members to take part in your research project. Research recruitment is featured in the ‘Professional Resources’ section of the magazine.

Before you make your request, you’ll need ethics approval for your study. Publication isn’t guaranteed, as it depends on the space available each month.
