RCOT commercial partnerships
At the Royal College of Occupational Therapists, our partnerships are built to create mutual value, for our members, for the organisations we work with, and for the profession as a whole. By aligning with the right partners, we can deliver tangible benefits to occupational therapists, generate sustainable revenue to support our work, and collaborate on initiatives that strengthen the profession’s impact.
How partnerships help us
Partnerships enable us to:
- Provide members with relevant offers, resources, and opportunities that add real value to their professional and personal lives.
- Connect the profession with service providers and organisations whose work supports and enhances occupational therapy.
- Fund projects and activities that advance our strategic priorities and promote the role of occupational therapists in health and social care.
- Where appropriate, join forces on topics of mutual interest to influence the occupational therapy and wider allied health professional landscape, for example, through media, thought leadership or public affairs activity.
Partnerships are designed to be mutually beneficial, ensuring both we and our partners gain value from the collaboration.
Our current focus
While we welcome interest from all potential partners, our current priority is to grow two key areas:
Advertising partners
Organisations that want to reach our members with relevant, ethical offers and services. These partners help us provide members with exclusive deals and information, while supporting us through advertising in our channels. Categories of interest include:
- Products and services that support the work of occupational therapists
- Insurance and financial services that support our members
- Health and wellbeing providers
- Retail, lifestyle, travel, and leisure offers
Service alignment partners
Service providers whose work aligns with our mission and can bring direct benefit to our members and the profession. These partnerships are built around structured packages - from entry-level to premium - which may include:
- Webinars and digital content
- Collaborative thought leadership and resources
- Advertising and targeted promotion
- Supplements and special features in RCOT channels
- Opportunities to engage directly with members
Partnership tiers
Our Gold, Silver, and Bronze tiers represent the depth of partnership and the level of commitment to supporting RCOT’s mission. Each tier offers a different mix of visibility, engagement, and collaboration opportunities, allowing partners to choose the level that best suits their objectives while contributing meaningfully to the profession.
Long-term relationships
Where possible, we look to build multi-year partnerships that give our partners consistent visibility and enable us to plan ahead for high-profile opportunities. This approach creates stability, fosters deeper relationships, and ensures partners can make a sustained contribution to shared goals. Longer-term arrangements also allow for greater creativity and impact, with the flexibility to combine different activities, supplements, and member engagement opportunities over time.
Partner standards and recognition
RCOT selects partners carefully and with due diligence to ensure alignment with our values and ethical standards. Partners are permitted to display the official RCOT Partner logo to acknowledge their collaboration with us but this doesn’t imply an endorsement of any products or services.
By working with us, partners can connect with a professional community that is passionate, skilled, and committed to improving lives. Together, we can create initiatives that bring value to our members, strengthen the profession, and deliver measurable outcomes for our partners.
