About this event
This Insights session introduces the guide we have developed to help you apply HCPC standard 5, which calls on us to practise in a way that is culturally responsive, non-discriminatory, and inclusive. In the session, we will provide an overview of the key topics covered in the guide:
- How our personal values, beliefs and assumptions can influence your practice
- The importance of understanding and applying equality legislation
- How to identify and address barriers to access, inclusion and occupational justice
- How to implement and advocate for reasonable adjustments in your practice
Regardless of where you work or your specialism, this session is for all occupational therapists who want to build their knowledge and commitment to equity, inclusion and anti-discriminatory practice.
