Innovation Café - September session 1
Open for all to attend
Innovation Café: Embedding Sustainable Healthcare into Quality Improvement: SusQI
About the event
Join us for an innovation café on embedding sustainable healthcare into quality improvement.
As healthcare systems embrace the goals of enhancing patient experience, improving population health, reducing costs, and supporting staff well-being—environmental sustainability is emerging as a crucial and useful dimension in quality care.
Meeting NHS Trust and local authority goals and complying with CQC guidance requires us all to consider sustainability and to understand the benefits of greener care for service users. This is most easily implemented in new QI projects.
This innovation café will showcase how sustainability goals can be integrated into everyday healthcare improvement work.
You'll hear five flash presentations
- Using Bikes for OT Home Visits
- Litter Picking with Acutely Unwell Mental Health Service Users
- Green Walking as a Therapeutic Treatment
- Reuse of Equipment in an Acute Orthopaedic Setting
- Virtual Neuro Rehab: what have we learnt
Session Aim:
In line with CQC requirements to raise awareness and build confidence among healthcare professionals in sustainable healthcare. To consider ways to improve patient experience and outcomes, save money and time for services and embed environmental sustainability into quality improvement (QI) projects.
This event is for : Allied Health Professionals, Quality Improvement Leads, Sustainability Champions, Healthcare Managers, Educators, Learners, Everyone!
