Why come to the AGM?

During the AGM you’ll:

  • learn the outcome of our Council elections
  • hear the Chair’s report of the year
  • receive a financial report
  • learn about the proposed changes to our governance
  • have the chance to ask questions
  • be asked to vote on any resolutions put forward

Your AGM papers

The AGM Notice and member fee papers were updated on Thursday 8 May 2025 to make corrections to two member categories:

  • The newly registered discount was correctly stated as 35% however the monetary value assigned to the 35% was incorrectly stated (2025-2026 fees £201.87/£16.82, yearly difference -£21.15, monthly difference -£1.77).
  • The Associate Apprentice percentage increase was incorrectly stated as +3% (now +4.5%). The monetary values remain the same.
Your proxy voting form

This year, your proxy voting form was sent sent to you by email directly from Civica Election Services in May (unless you opted out of emails from us).

  • The email was titled 'Have your voice heard this June - BAOT Annual General Meeting' and it came from the email address takepart@cesvotes.com You may need to check your junk folder for this email.
  • If you haven't received the email or can't find it please email contact Civica directly at support@cesvotes.com or call 020 8889 9203.
  • Any other questions about the AGM can be sent to us at hello@rcot.co.uk
The deadline for returning your proxy voting form is 4pm on Sunday 15 June 2025.
Submit questions

You can submit questions in advance of the AGM by emailing Odeth Richardson, Chair at hello@rcot.co.uk Please use 'AGM' in the subject line of your email.

  • We're focusing on responding to questions submitted by email so we won't be responding to questions for the AGM via social media.
  • We’ll share answers to questions received in advance on this page and will update these regularly, recognising some questions may take longer to respond to.
  • Where questions cover similar topics, we may group them together.
  • We won’t include the name of the person who asked the question unless we’re specifically asked to do that.

There is also significant time allocated to Q&A during the AGM itself and we'll respond to as many questions as possible during this time.

Join an online governance drop in

This year and in response to member feedback, the AGM is an in-person event only and there is no opportunity to join virtually. You can still discuss the resolutions, even if you can’t join us in Edinburgh, by attending one of our online governance drop-in sessions.
