BAOT Annual General Meeting

After several years of virtual AGMs and hearing from members who were keen for in person opportunities this year, the AGM will be held in person as part of our members’ day. 

This year the AGM is an in-person event only and will not be available to join online or watch a recording following the event. If you can’t join us in Edinburgh, you can still participate by appointing a proxy to vote on your behalf for the resolutions put forward. You can also join one of our online governance drop ins ahead of the AGM where you can meet with representatives of Council and ask questions. 

Yes. The AGM is free for all BAOT members to attend. Watch out for further news about how to attend the members’ day. 

We have big ambitions for RCOT and the occupational therapy profession. To deliver these, we need our governance to be fit for purpose and future-proof so that we can be a more responsive, focused and efficient organisation.  

This year, Council is proposing further changes to our governance to modify the terms of office of Council members and make changes to the BAOT and RCOT Articles of Association. Read more about our plans to strengthen governance. 

Members will be asked to vote on proposed changes to the BAOT Articles as part of the AGM. 

This year the BAOT AGM is being held as part of our members’ day where you’ll have the chance to hear from RCOT about our plans. As a result there will be no separate RCOT meeting. 

AGM resolutions: Members vote either at the meeting live or in advance by submitting a proxy voting form. 

Elections: Members vote by submitting a ballot form in advance. Members must vote in advance – there will be no live voting on elections at the AGM.
