A safe space for reflecting on the impact of the recent Supreme Court ruling

About this event

The recent Supreme Court judgement on the interpretation of "sex and gender" under UK law has touched many people's lives in different ways. We know that some of our members and colleagues have been affected significantly by the ruling, its implications, and the general discourse about it in society.

We are hosting a reflection session from 6:30-7:30pm, Thursday 8 May 2025 to provide a safe space for members to share and discuss the impact of the ruling and how we can continue to foster inclusivity as community and in the profession. This session isn’t about debating the decision itself. It’s about coming together with solidarity and compassion. It's a space to listen, to share, and support each other through kindness and solidarity.

Everyone is welcome. Whether you come to share, to learn, or simply listen, your attendance matters. Together, we can remind each other that community, care, and respect remain at the heart of occupational therapy and who we are.

The space is open for respectful dialogue and will  operate under Chatham House rules.”
