Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments using evidence-based and person-centred principles.
  • Develop and implement individualised treatment plans in collaboration with our multidisciplinary team.
  • Provide specialist interventions that promote independence in areas such as emotional regulation, sensory processing, motor coordination, and life skills.
  • Facilitate meaningful and therapeutic activities both at home and in the community.
  • Facilitate community integration activities to enhance social skills and community participation.
  • Deliver therapy programmes through a tiered approach (Universal, Targeted, Specialist).
  • Support transitions by preparing residents and staff with appropriate OT input.
  • Deliver training and coaching to families and support staff to integrate therapy goals into daily routines.
  • Contribute to reports for EHCP reviews, safeguarding, and incident reviews when necessary.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss individual progress and adjust interventions as necessary.
  • Maintain detailed clinical records, demonstrating impact through data, case studies, and outcomes tracking.
  • Regularly assess and document service users' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Keep up to date with CPD and uphold HCPC and RCOT standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist (BSc or MSc).
  • A minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience (experience in supported living/community-based settings advantageous).
  • Demonstrated ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate OT interventions in a client-focused way.
  • Skilled in sensory integration approaches (Level 1+ desirable).
  • Strong clinical reasoning and case management abilities.
  • Confident working independently in the community and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle preferred (travel across London required).

Benefits:

  • Access to an Expert Panel comprised of Psychologists, Psychiatrists and Psychotherapists with over 100 years of combined clinical experience.
  • Career development support and regular CPD opportunities
  • Access to a company vehicle
  • Eligibility to corporate holidays
