Tai chi research now spans falls prevention (named in CMO UK physical activity guidelines), chronic pain, neurological conditions including Parkinson's (named in RCOT guidance), cardiovascular health, cancer care and mental health and wellbeing.
This six-week online course gives you grounding in the evidence base, the fundamental movements, adaptations, and ideas for integrating them credibly within our scope of practice. With lifetime access, you can study any time. The course equips you to reason clearly about tai chi and qigong, as the evidence-based practitioner you already and within the the biopsychosocial, occupation-focused lens that already shapes your work

What's included:
- A self-paced learning site with pre-recorded video tutorials, downloadable handouts and module-by-module reference lists and suggested reading.
- Optional live online sessions every Wednesday evening (7.30 to 8.30pm), where you meet other AHPs exploring how to apply tai chi across different settings. Every session is recorded, so you never miss out.
- Ongoing access to all course materials and live sessions for the lifetime of the course, for flexible learning in your own time and keep learning as the evidence develops.
- An optional one-to-one session with your tutors, Helen and Phil, to talk through how the material applies to your own caseload and setting.
- Around 2.5 hours of flexible study per week, fitted around your clinical commitments.
- A CPD certificate on completion, plus a structured reflection record to support your HCPC portfolio.
