Changes to NHS England: we’re here to help
The news that NHS England, the administrative body responsible for managing and overseeing the NHS in England, is being abolished, will have left some of our members feeling very uncertain about their job security.
If you’re directly affected by this announcement, please speak to your union representative at UNISON in the first instance. You can call the helpline on 0800 0857 857, fill in the online contact form, or get in touch with your local branch.
Whether you’re directly or indirectly affected and if you’re an RCOT member, you can speak to our professional advisory service by calling 020 3141 4630, or by emailing hello@rcot.co.uk.
We understand that UNISON is working to establish what the next steps and the impact will be on those affected. We will stay in close contact with UNISON to help support our members who are affected.
We are continuing to advocate for an expanded occupational therapy workforce as part of our workforce strategy. We’ll also continue to work with our members, UNISON, and the Department of Health and Social Care to make sure our members’ voices are heard, and the transition is as smooth as possible for both occupational therapists working in the NHS, and the people accessing their services.
