What do you value and where should we focus next?

We’ve started the phased launch of our Member Survey.

From Monday 2–Thursday 5 March, all RCOT members will receive an email invitation to take part in our Member Survey.

It takes 10 minutes and can be completed on all devices, with your responses being anonymous and confidential.

Your feedback will help shape the future of your membership organisation – how your money is spent and where our energies are focused to support you. Every response counts.

The survey will close on Monday 30 March 2026.

How to take part

Check you inbox for an email from Odeth Richardson, RCOT Chair of Council, sent from [email protected]. This is the email used by Research by Design, our independent research partner.

If you can’t access the link – for example, due to NHS firewalls – forward the invite to a personal email address and try again using a different internet connection.

Prize draw

We know your time is valuable. We've tried to keep the survey as short as possible.

After completing the survey, you can choose to enter a £200 prize draw with a £50 runner‑up as a thank you for your time.

Why is RCOT undertaking this research?

RCOT has commissioned Research by Design (RbD), an independent research agency, to explore the challenges members face and how RCOT can better provide the support and resources needed to enable the delivery of high-quality occupational therapy services.

The feedback members provide as part of this survey will be used alongside a breadth of intelligence being gathered to support the development of the new corporate strategy.

Who are Research by Design?

Research by Design is an independent market research company commissioned by RCOT to undertake research on its behalf.

Research by Design is part of the Box Delta Insights Ltd and operates under the Market Research Society’s (MRS) Code of Conduct, which ensures that research participants’ anonymity is protected and that information provided is kept strictly confidential.

How will I be invited to participate?

Research by Design will send an email invitation to ask for your participation in the survey. You can verify the validity of the email by checking the ‘from’ address, which will be [email protected].

If you are having trouble accessing the link, for example, due to NHS firewalls, we request that you forward your invite to a personal email address and try again using a different server connection.

How long might the online survey take?

Can I re-enter the online survey?

Each survey session contains a device-specific cookie which remembers your choices should you leave and return to the survey if you have not submitted your response. Each time you move to a new page of the survey, your responses are saved.

Once you have submitted the survey, amendments are not possible; if you wish to make revisions once you have pressed ‘submit’, please contact Research by Design to discuss the options available.
