Moving away from X
We're dedicated to promoting the vital role of occupational therapy and building an inclusive and safe community where everyone is treated with dignity and respect.
After careful consideration and guided by our Board of Trustees, we've decided to stop actively using X (formerly Twitter). While X has been a valuable platform for connecting with members, other professions and the wider public, we believe that the platform has changed to such an extent that it no longer aligns with our values of integrity and inclusivity.
This decision reflects how much we value our members and our commitment to celebrating their unique differences.
We'll continue to engage meaningfully with our community and raise awareness of occupational therapy through other platforms. We invite all our followers to join us on our other social media channels such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Threads and Instagram. Additionally, we've joined Bluesky, which is similar to X, and will be starting to build our community there.
We'll gradually reduce our posting and responding on X over the next few months and will stop completely by the end of July.
We're grateful for your ongoing support and understanding and we look forward to continuing to connect with you.
