Welcome to the October/November issue of OTnews!
The latest issue of OTnews marks a milestone – our first ever, expanded bi-monthly member magazine. October saw the UK celebrate Black History Month, and we reflect on this year’s theme ‘Standing firm in power and pride’. This edition celebrates the strength, resilience and brilliance of Black occupational therapists whose stories inspire change and call on us all to challenge inequity in our profession.
Across 24 pages of special focus features, guest editors Lily Owens-Atkins and Savania China helped curate a range of powerful reflections on identity, leadership and lived experience; each reminding us that pride means not only honouring heritage, but standing firm in pursuit of inclusion, respect and belonging for all.
