We're helping to make sure occupational therapy is visible in key decisions across Scotland – and we want you to be part of that momentum too.

Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy

We responded to the draft Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy, feeding into the Scottish Mental Health Partnership response and sharing our own reflections directly with the Scottish Government team.

Why this matters to you:

The strategy will shape future priorities for mental health and wellbeing in Scotland, including prevention, community-based support, workforce planning and person-centred care. The contribution of occupational therapy must be reflected as the plans are developed.

This was an invite-only engagement rather than an external consultation, so we cannot share our response publicly. We will share a comment once the plan is live and continue to highlight the role of occupational therapists in supporting mental health, wellbeing, recovery and participation.
