We're helping to make sure occupational therapy is visible in key decisions across Scotland – and we want you to be part of that momentum too.

Building relationships with a new Parliament

Following the Holyrood election, we’ve been engaging with newly elected MSPs and members of the Health, Social Care and Sport Committee at the Scottish Parliament.

Why this matters to you:

Early engagement with new political representatives helps shape how occupational therapy is understood and prioritised. These first conversations influence future decisions on policy, funding and service design across health and social care.

Highlighting the value of OT

We’ve been meeting MSPs to introduce RCOT, highlight the value of occupational therapy and outline the profession’s priorities.

We’ve been encouraged by how receptive and positive these conversations have been. We will continue building these relationships after the summer recess to ensure occupational therapy remains visible and influential in parliamentary discussions.
