Welsh Parliament returns

The Welsh Parliament returned from their summer recess at the start of September and we have been engaging with the Minister for Health and Care, MSs and the Chief AHP Officer (CAHPO) for Welsh Government. Crucial to all our engagement is making sure that you, our members, are front and centre and that your voice is heard.

Plaid Cymru conference

Pan-Wales director

The Minister, at the Plaid Cymru conference, said that they would improve patient flow in and out of hospital with the appointment of a pan-Wales director and the creation of a policy document ‘acute by design’ in December.

Database communication

The government will also be looking to introduce legislation to allow different databases to communicate with each other.

OT shout-out on the main stage

A highlight of the conference was the Cabinet Minister naming occupational therapy in his contribution on the main stage to delegates in his remarks.
