Campaigns Project Manager introduction

The RCOT’s Practice, Innovation and Advocacy Directorate exists to ensure occupational therapy has a strong, credible and influential voice in the UK and beyond. We're now looking for an experienced campaign professional to lead the planning, coordination and delivery of our profile and advocacy campaigns, helping to raise the profile of occupational therapy, strengthen our influence, mobilise members and stakeholders, and drive meaningful change for the people and communities occupational therapy supports.

As Campaigns Project Manager, you will lead the planning, coordination and delivery of integrated campaign activity that brings together communications, public affairs, member engagement, social media and partnerships to achieve real impact. Reporting to the Head of Profile and Campaigns, you will play a central role in translating strategic priorities, evidence and policy positions into action, mobilising audiences, building momentum and ensuring campaigns deliver measurable outcomes and demonstrable impact.

You will:

  • lead the planning, coordination and delivery of RCOT's profile and advocacy campaigns, ensuring activity supports strategic priorities and organisational objectives
  • translate campaign strategy into clear delivery plans, coordinating activity across multiple teams, partners and stakeholders
  • develop compelling campaign content, narratives and messaging that bring complex issues to life and inspire action
  • mobilise members and stakeholders around campaign priorities, creating opportunities for advocacy, action and engagement
  • use insight, evaluation and performance data to optimise activity, demonstrate impact and inform future campaigns
  • build productive relationships with external partners, agencies and stakeholders to extend campaign reach, credibility, influence and strategic value.
  • develop campaign measurement frameworks and success measures, using insight, evaluation and performance data to demonstrate impact and inform continuous improvement
  • ensure campaigns are delivered effectively, on time and to a high standard, aligning activity across communications, policy, public affairs and member engagement teams

You bring:

  • significant experience delivering high-profile campaigns, programmes or initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and workstreams
  • a track record of translating strategic objectives into coordinated activity that delivers measurable outcomes and impact
  • strong campaign and project management skills, with the ability to drive progress and maintain momentum across complex programmes
  • experience delivering advocacy, profile-raising, influencing or public engagement activity that supports organisational goals
  • excellent copywriting, storytelling and content development skills across a range of channels and audiences
  • strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience working collaboratively across teams and organisations
  • experience evaluating advocacy, profile-raising or policy-influencing campaigns and demonstrating contribution to awareness, engagement, policy, practice or decision-making outcomes

Why this role?

This is a unique opportunity to lead a high-profile campaign that will help shape how occupational therapy is understood, valued and championed across the UK. You will bring together colleagues, members and partners around a shared vision, helping RCOT strengthen its influence, mobilise its community and demonstrate the life-changing impact of occupational therapy. You will play a key role in turning advocacy priorities into coordinated campaign activity and ensuring our campaigns deliver measurable impact.
