The RCOT’s Practice, Innovation and Advocacy Directorate exists to ensure occupational therapy
has a strong, credible and influential voice in the UK and beyond.
We’re now looking for a creative and strategic social media specialist to lead how we engage with
audiences, grow our influence and bring our voice to life on social media.
As Social Media Lead, you will lead and deliver RCOT’s social media activity – combining standout
content with clear strategic direction to grow engagement and impact with our members and priority audiences.
Reporting to the Head of Profile and Campaigns, you will play a key role in strengthening our
reputation, supporting advocacy and campaigns and ensuring our social media channels contribute
to shaping national conversations, while building a more connected and engaged member
community.
You will:
• develop and deliver social media plans that support RCOT’s campaigns, advocacy and
member engagement priorities
• create high-quality, engaging content across key platforms – including LinkedIn, Instagram
and Facebook
• drive audience growth and engagement through insight-led and creative approaches
• manage and evolve RCOT’s social media channels – ensuring a strong and consistent voice
• use analytics and insights to optimise performance and inform future activity
• manage our reputation on social media, including monitoring risk and responding to
emerging issues
You bring:
• strong experience managing social media in a complex organisation
• a track record of using social media to support campaigns, influencing and advocacy
objectives
• excellent content creation and storytelling skills across formats, including copy, video,
imagery and user-generated content
• deep understanding of social media platforms, trends, algorithms and performance metrics
alongside experience managing reputational risk and real-time engagement.

Location: London-based, hybrid working
Contract: Permanent full-time (35 hours a week)
Salary: circa £58k
