Earlier this month we won not one, but two awards for our ‘Lift up your everyday’ campaign at the prestigious Communiqué Awards.
These awards celebrate excellence within the healthcare communications industry in the UK and Europe.
We won:
- Excellence in corporate communications
- Excellence in engagement through social media/digital channels.
What is our ‘Lift up your everyday’ campaign?
In line with our vision – that people everywhere value the life-changing power of occupational therapy – our marketing team worked with Say Communications to deliver our first ever public health campaign. ‘Lift up your everyday’ empowers people to help themselves by providing advice and support to enable them to keep doing what they love and need to do.
It's aimed at people who don't know aout occupational therapy and couldn't confidently say what an OT does. The campaign leads them into finding out more about our profession and its impact.
The team recognised that its greatest asset was its people and members.
The power of our campaign
Over 7.8 million people were reached by our campaign and involved over 1,000 OTs delivering their professional advice through multiple channels, bringing their expertise to the top of people’s social feeds and elevating the profession in the eyes of the public.
Our social media reach (how many people see our posts) was up 82% on the previous year. It's clear that the advice and delivery clearly resonated with our new target audience as the videos also received a high number of clicks.

The benchmarking data was excellent, and the objectives were set against clear Key Performance Indicators. The judges were impressed by what was achieved with a modest budget and found the simple strategy impressive – the team recognised that its greatest asset was its people and members.
