Our pre-registration placement programme returns on Monday 5 September 2022. And we’ve made some changes so you can get the most out of the programme.
If you’re a pre-registration apprentice or student, sign up and take part in our online programme at the same time as your non-traditional placement.
Over 150 pre-registration apprentices and students have taken part since our programme started in January 2022. We’ve listened to feedback from learners, practice educators and university teams. Your insights have helped shape the changes we’ve made.
What’s involved
- It is now a rolling programme of online sessions with RCOT staff – it doesn’t matter when your non-traditional placement is, you can join the programme at any time.
- Meet RCOT staff and hear about their role, career journey or specialist interest within the profession – then discuss and ask questions.
- You’ll get to create your own programme timetable at the monthly opening sessions – making sure it fits your placement dates with sessions to meet your learning needs.
- Sessions will take place on Monday afternoons and throughout the day on Fridays.
- Get to know other apprentices and students at our learner link-up sessions – discuss sessions you’ve attended or share your placement experiences.
- Your practice educator, supervisors or mentors can attend sessions too.
