Steve Ford has today, 6 April 2021, joined the RCOT as Chief Executive. His first priority is to gain a deeper insight into the profession, the opportunities and challenges it presents, to build on his understanding of what it’s like to be an occupational therapist.
Watch Steve’s video message to find out more about how he wants to do this and his ambitions for the profession.
You can read more about Steve and his ambitions for the profession and RCOT in his first interview with OTnews. An abridged version of the interview is available now and the full version will be in April’s magazine.
Would you like to talk to Steve?
Steve is keen to speak with members from as broad a range as possible, across different levels, roles and specialist areas. His ambition is to have 100 conversations in his first 100 days!
To get started and to help provide this broad view we’ve already invited some members to meet with Steve. If you would like the opportunity to also be part of this please let us know.
Steve would like to find out more about what it’s like doing your role, your aspirations for your career and the profession and what support you need. Each conversation will be for half an hour and held virtually.
We might not be able to accommodate everyone, but we will do our best. Spaces will predominantly go on a first come, first basis; but some exceptions might be made to help ensure that Steve has time with members representing the broad range of the profession.
If you‘d like to be involved please complete the form below. We’ll then get back to you with time options, or if places are full to let you know that you are on the waiting list.
Thanks to those of you who have expressed interest in meeting our new CEO. We have contacted those of you who have, to give you the opportunity to meet Steve. If you haven’t heard from us please contact Jane Martin at jane.martin@rcot.co.uk. We are not accepting any more expressions of interest at this time. |
