RCOT Communities user agreement
The core principle of RCOT Communities is to facilitate connections and collaborations that support continuous learning, innovation and exchange of knowledge. By joining RCOT Communities, you agree to support, promote and uphold this core principle when you post, share, upload and comment on content, and directly connect with other users.
Please take a moment to get to know our guidelines. If you don’t uphold our guidelines, we may remove your posts or temporarily or permanently suspend your account.
Guidelines
- Respect others: Be kind and respectful to others online, just like you would be in person.
- Respect the purposes of the communities: Use these communities to connect with peers, share ideas and resources relevant to the profession and ask questions.
- Promote an inclusive culture: We value diversity and inclusion in our communities. Learn about our Equity, Diversity and Belonging (EDB) Strategy.
- Do not share personal information: Keep it confidential! Do not share personal details about yourself or others without their permission.
- Do not promote: Don't promote products, services, events or job vacancies for personal or commercial gain.
- Use caution: Be mindful when discussing products and services. We may remove posts that are inappropriate or create conflicts of interest.
- Respect intellectual property: Only share content you have permission to share or that is publicly available. Don’t post things that you wouldn’t want others to share.
- Legal considerations: All posts and comments are subject to libel, slander and antitrust laws. Anything defamatory, abusive, profane, threatening, offensive or illegal is not allowed.
This list is not exhaustive. All users have the power to report posts and comments that they feel don't align with the core principle of RCOT Communities.
By joining RCOT Communities, you also agree that you’ve read and will abide by:
- our terms and conditions
- the RCOT Professional standards for occupational therapy practice, conduct and ethics and
- Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) Standards of conduct, performance and ethics.
Privacy
As a member of RCOT Communities, your profile will appear in the online member directory. However, your contact details will remain private, and you can choose to hide any other fields in your profile. If you do not wish to feature in the directory or wish to change your visibility settings, please update your user profile settings.
Any personal information you give us will not be released, sold or rented to any third-party entities or individuals outside of our organisation.
