Essential reading to strengthen your knowledge

Long COVID continues to have a profound impact on the daily lives, occupations and wellbeing of thousands of people in the UK and beyond. As occupational therapists, we play a vital role in supporting people navigating fatigue, cognitive changes, breathlessness, fluctuating symptoms and the life disruptions that follow.

In honour of Long COVID Awareness Day (15 March 2026) we’ve curated a list of valuable books and journal articles to help you deepen your clinical knowledge, enhance confidence in your interventions and feel better equipped to support people navigating this complex condition.

Your long COVID OT reading list

Please be aware that RCOT Digital Library e-books do have a limited number of licenses, so you may need to wait for another member to finish reading a book before you can access it. If there’s a title you’re waiting for, use your CPD portfolio to create a ‘To read’ list, and add your reflections later.
