Wednesday August 2nd 2017 10:00-12:00hrs
West Park Hospital, Edward Pease Way, Darlington, DL2 2TS
Julia Scott, CEO of RCOT, will be facilitating a discussion to seek your views on the next five year strategic plan for RCOT. This is an opportunity for members and non-members to express their views and connect with the national team.
Think about the following questions and make sure your views are heard:
- What is likely to impact of the profession in the next 5-10 years?
- What should the professional body focus on going forward?
Following Julia’s facilitated discussion, the Regional Committee would like to invite you to remain with us and share your views on networking, CPD and other opportunities offered within the region over the coming year. Non-members are welcome to engage and express their views on RCOT and discuss what the national and regional group could do to support their future engagement.
Help your regional committee shape RCOT’s work plan for the next five years and play an important role in determining the College’s activities and direction.
Due to limited capacity of the venue please reserve a free ticket via Eventbrite.
If you cannot attend the event but would still like to give your feedback on the two questions please email: RCOT Northern and Yorkshire region COT.Northernandyorkshire@rcot.co.uk

Lifelong Learning Grants
Looking for alternative funding option for CPD? Consider applying for a Lifelong Learning Grant (LLG). The grants are not used to fund pre-registration training (i.e. Degrees, MSc. courses), but provide financial support to enable members of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT) to participate in short courses, workshops, conferences or other activities related to their continuous professional development and the promotion of the profession.
Funding can be used to contribute to or cover the fees for the course/activity/event but does not cover the cost of travel and subsistence. Individuals will be able to claim up to a maximum of £200 and successful applicants will be required to submit a report/article (minimum 500 words) within one month of the end of the event, giving feedback on the activity and how it benefited their practice.
Applications will be approved twice a year and the closing date for applications are:
