We are looking for Full Time or Part Time applicants – term time plus inset days, covering days Monday to Friday 8:30am – 3.45pm. You will be supporting pupils with autism in all areas of the curriculum, working at both our Upper School in Deal and our Lower School in Broadstairs.

The successful candidate will gain experience working as a school based Paediatric Occupational Therapist with children and young people who have Autism Spectrum Disorder and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. As an Occupational Therapist you will be using standardised assessments, clinical observations with a focus on school occupational performance and enabling independence including treatment of children and young people for sensory and motor differences. All pupils have an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP), which the Occupational Therapy assessments contribute to.

Applicants should have had some Paediatric OT experience - be that volunteering, OT Placement or work related with children/young people. We are looking for a committed, enthusiastic, self-motivated, and resilient person who enjoys working with young people within a school setting. You’ll work alongside experienced and committed colleagues in a supportive environment where your ideas, enthusiasm and contribution are valued.

To join our highly collaborative and supportive team, please email [email protected] to request an application pack. Applications are only accepted on a Ripplevale School application form. CVs on their own will be rejected.
