Sharing your valuable insights

Our members’ voices are at the heart of what we do. That’s why you’ll have many opportunities to influence the future direction of the profession. Your input ensures that the needs and challenges of occupational therapists like you are accurately represented. You can choose how you get involved, from completing our Workforce survey to joining an advisory board, such as our Research and Innovation Advisory group, or a Workforce Reform workshop.

You’ll have opportunities to give us valuable insights that help shape policies and strategies for the future of the profession. We want to hear from you, no matter your level or area of practice, to make sure we get a diverse and representative picture of what’s happening.

Equity, diversity and belonging

Our vision is to be recognised as a bold, progressive advocate of equity and social justice. We’ll build your understanding of equity, diversity and belonging and develop your skills and confidence to actively oppose discrimination.

Become a changemaker and profile-raiser

We want the occupational therapy workforce to become a powerful movement – boldly negotiating where we should be positioned to have the maximum impact for the UK’s communities, and armed with robust evidence about what occupational therapy brings to health and social care.

We’ll support you to be changemakers, using your skills and knowledge to lead and co-design innovative products, interventions and services that improve people’s lives and wellbeing. Through our Innovation Hub, we’ll help you champion innovative service delivery models that improve access to occupational therapy and achieve health equity for all.

We want people everywhere to value the life-changing power of occupational therapy. That’s a big aim, but we can achieve it by working together. You’ll be able to get involved in developing future campaigns as well as delivering them. We’ll provide you with campaign resources as well as guidance and tools to help you raise the profile of occupational therapy.
