Changes to EBSCO databases in your Digital Library

By: RCOT 06 August, 2025 News

Personalisation and why EBSCO has updated their platform

EBSCO platforms (which host our databases, CINAHL and Medline, and some of our online books and journals) have moved to new interfaces as of Tuesday 5 August 2025.

This changes how you:

  • create folders
  • save searches
  • save items.

What hasn't changed:

  • how you access the databases or full texts.

Why is EBSCO changing the EBSCOhost user experience and interface?

EBSCO have redesigned the EBSCOhost experience and user interface to meet ever-evolving user expectations for accessing, searching, choosing and using library resources.

This includes:

  • personalised dashboards
  • new ways to share and save resources
  • reading eBooks
  • ... and much more.

You can find out more about EBSCO's changes by visiting their website.

Don't forget

Your membership gives you access to an entire Digital Library!

Our Digital Library is open to members from across the UK and beyond at times that work for you.

Alongside the occupational therapy titles you’d expect, our Digital Library covers topics such as:

  • building your leadership skills
  • finding resources for CPD
  • developing your equity, diversity and belonging knowledge.

Our resources include online databases, books, journals, RCOT publications, theses and grey literature.
