By: RCOT 15 April, 2025 News 5 minute read

How do I get started?

Use our quick how-to guide to unlock more from your membership. Follow a few easy steps to unlock your exciting new member benefits and access exclusive content.

1. Activate your online member account

Your previous website account and password will no longer work so you’ll need to activate your new online member account on our new website to access your benefits and digital services.

  • click the ‘Log in’ button in the top right-hand corner of the website
  • Enter your email address – make sure you use the email address associated with your RCOT membership and your CPD portfolio so we can link your account. If in doubt, use the one where you usually get emails from us.
  • verify your email – you may need to check your junk folder for this
  • check your personal details are correct
  • choose a new secure password.

Your online member account will be active and ready for you to start exploring your exclusive member-only resources and digital services.

Need help with this stage?

Why not use our handy step-by-step guide or refer to our troubleshooting example below:

Can’t find your employer or place of work on the drop-down list of options?

If you can’t find the correct option from the drop-down list of Primary employer or Workplaces listed, you can select ‘Other’. You’ll then be able to proceed with creating your account and accessing your services.

2. Personalise your profile and preferences

Tell us what you’re interested in and what you want to hear more about so you’re more in control of your membership.

You’ll be asked to:

  • fill in any gaps in your personal details
  • tell us how you want to hear from us (contact preferences)
  • fill in your practice details.

The more information you share with us, the more we’ll be able to share personalised content and experiences with you in the future.
