We’re launching a new Leadership Advisory Group and looking for our profession’s strategic leaders to join. If you work in strategic management positions, we want to hear from you.
You’ll work virtually with Karin Orman, our Director of Practice and Innovation and other key RCOT colleagues. Together, you’ll generate ideas; sense check; share insight on workforce, service developments and innovation; and advise on influencing opportunities with external stakeholders.
We’re looking for 12 occupational therapists working in strategic management positions, representing the four UK nations and different settings and populations. Your advice and expertise will inform our leadership resources and activities. You’ll have experience in leading people, designing and improving services, managing resources and consulting the public. We ask that you commit to the group for a minimum of one year.
Being an advisory group member counts towards your CPD, as you:
- bring your knowledge and experience to influence the profession at a strategic level
- use and develop your leadership skills in different areas of the profession
- connect with other strategic leaders within health and social care across the UK.
You'll receive a certificate of appreciation at the end of your term of office which you can use for your CPD record and HCPC registration.
Our Leadership Advisory Group is open to RCOT members who are senior OT leaders including those who:
- work in integrated health and social care services in a strategic role
- work at senior level in an occupational therapy HEI learner or research programme
- have a leadership role within a government department
- work in Consultant or Principal roles
- run an independent occupational therapy organisation.
Apply by 9am on Monday 3 October 2022 by filling in the MS Form.
