Occupational Therapy Week 2025
Prevention and early intervention
On 3 November, at the start of OT Week 2025, we will launch a national campaign to show how occupational therapists help people stay well for longer and avoid health and care crises. By getting involved earlier, occupational therapy supports people across all ages and stages of life.
The campaign will share real stories from people who give and receive occupational therapy, highlighting its impact and why early intervention is essential. It aims to raise public and political awareness of the value of occupational therapy and shift the focus from crisis response to prevention.
You’ll be supported to talk confidently about the difference occupational therapy makes – whether that’s helping someone return home from hospital or supporting people to live independently in the community. You’ll have campaign resources to help you start conversations and show the impact of occupational therapy in action.

What can you do now to get ready?
Our profile-raising toolkit is packed with ideas and tools to help you spread the word about occupational therapy in your local area. Whether you're planning a display, giving a talk or starting conversations with colleagues or your community, there’s something to support you.
Together, we want to reach as many people as possible, in as many settings as we can, so more people understand the life-changing impact of occupational therapy - especially when support is available early.
Want to get involved locally but not sure where to start? Come along to our next café session to share ideas and get inspired.
