They are: Workforce Strategy advisory group (UK-wide) Advisory group for England's action plan for the Workforce Strategy Advisory group for Scotland's action plan for the Workforce Strategy Advisory group for Northern Ireland’s action plan for the Workforce Strategy. We also have a UK wide Research and Innovation Advisory group, focused on development of our new Research and Innovation Strategy. Our upcoming advisory groups are: Re-imagining pre-registration quality assurance (including a review of our learning and development standards for pre-registration education). April Research Café Join us for our next Research Café on Wednesday 24 April, 12–1pm, where we'll be discussing 'The importance of health economics in occupational therapy' with Rod Lambert, Editor-in-Chief of the British Journal of Occupational Therapy. Rod will talk about his passion for and experience with health economics and focus on why it’s so vital for occupational therapists to engage actively with economic evaluations. He'll discuss ways you can become more engaged and access existing expertise, followed by a Q&A. May Placement CaféOn Wednesday 1 May, 1–2pm we'll be joined by Ms Anita Volkert, Lecturer in Occupational Therapy and AHP Practice Placements Lead. She will present 'Utilising the principles of practice-based learning: examples from practice' where we'll explore examples of using these principles, followed by a discussion on how to tailor them to your own context. To attend this café, please send an email to education@rcot.co.uk. By joining the café, you'll also become part of the Placement Café Network. This means you'll receive updates on future cafés and have the opportunity to network with other members on Teams, beyond the café.
