What's the role of Council members?
Council members are formally responsible for the governance of BAOT, including financial matters, the management of identified risks and the agreement and monitoring of BAOT's annual work plan. They must also sit as trustees on the RCOT Board of Trustees. These responsibilities require a commitment to the long-term sustainability of BAOT and the profession as a whole and should not be undertaken lightly. Acting as leaders of the profession and directors of BAOT, Council members may be called upon to debate complex issues and make key decisions to safeguard the organisation and its members.
Council members are expected to attend at least four one day meetings per year, normally held in London and attend the Annual General Meeting.
