RCOT SS - Trauma and Orthopaedics

We promote best practice in occupational therapy within the specialty of trauma, orthopaedics and rehabilitation of amputees.

The Royal College of Occupational Therapists Specialist Section Trauma and Orthopaedics is a dedicated organisation for occupational therapists working throughout the United Kingdom and internationally in a range of areas associated with Orthopaedics and Trauma.

Members work in a variety of settings including:

  • Hospitals
  • Community rehabilitation teams
  • Social care
  • Intermediate care
  • Older people's rehabilitation
  • Independent practice
  • Upper and lower limb amputee rehabilitation
  • Critical care

We work closely with other related organisations and professionals with a similar interest. We share and exchange knowledge, skills and ideas and provide access to resource material to promote research and evidence-based practice.
