The value of therapists documenting their professional reasoning and negotiating specific and measurable goals is widely acknowledged. However, literature suggests that practitioners often encounter barriers when implementing best practice.
INTRODUCING THE SPEAKER:
Sue Parkinson has gained a reputation for supporting occupational therapists to implement occupation-focused, evidence-based practice. She is the the lead author of the Model of Human Occupation (MOHO) Screening Tool and a contributor to the 2017 MOHO textbook.
In addition, she has authored the treatment handbook - 'Recovery through Activity' - which provides a platform for promoting the benefits of occupational participation. She has been providing MOHO training since 2003 and workshop applicants may want to check out her video 'Constructing Measurable Goals using MOHO', which can be found on YouTube.
