Part of the College’s Improving Lives, Saving Money campaign, the Living not Existing: Putting prevention at the heart of care for older people report has been well received by stakeholders in England. The College is working with NHS Improvement to explore ways to follow this up to spread the word and encourage the implementation of the recommendations. Read the report now.
We are calling AHP leads to encourage occupational leads and those who have the ability to influence strategically to attend this event from both health and social care to consider the themes and challenges arising from the report and to discuss how we can make change happen. The event will be interactive and cover:

- Skill Mix – working to the top of your professional licence, use of appropriate skill mix – harvesting the ‘saved’ resource to earlier in the pathway
- The importance of ensuring joint messaging being focused on role and benefits of any changes.
The following questions will be considered:
- What would good look like?
- What needs to change?
- Who do we need to influence - within organisations, STPs etc.
