We have a very exciting opportunity for a dynamic, enthusiastic occupational therapist to work in one of London’s leading schools for children and young people with autism.
The successful post holder will have responsibility for delivering the Individual Learning Plan for each pupil as part of multi-disciplinary team of various specialists. The post holder will contribute to the planning, adaptation, monitoring and reporting of pupils’ personalised plans enabling them to learn as well as access to the community for our older students.
You will be an enthusiastic and autonomous practitioner ready to share your previous high-level of experience working with young people with autism. Your professional expertise will be highly valued and offer you the opportunity to develop your skills working within a specialist teaching and behaviour team.
You will have or need:
- Professional Qualified occupational therapy qualification to degree or diploma level.
- HCPC Registration.
- Knowledge of assessment, planning and evaluating treatment.
- Demonstrable experience in paediatrics.
- Demonstratble commitment to Evidence Based Practice (EBP).
- Specialist knowledge and experience of a range of treatment techniques, occupational therapy models and approaches in adults with ASD and/or complex needs.
- Knowledge and experience of the impact of disability on their occupational performance.
- Working Knowledge of Further Education Curriculum.
