The Royal College of Occupational Therapy Regions have 22 opportunities for members to join their committees and help to influence the profession and support colleagues at a regional level.
RCOT Regions are branches of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT), dedicated to supporting members locally by providing networking, development and learning opportunities as well as funding through lifelong learning grants.
As a member of your Region’s committee you will be engaged and motivated to make positive change and extend your networks. You will be supported by RCOT and existing committee members to develop professionally, share fresh ideas and help build a stronger local presence for your occupational therapist peers.
The are vacancies in following Regions committees, with roles from Chair to Social Media Lead:
Eastern – Secretary and Member Activity Lead
London - Communications Lead and Member Activity Lead (role share)
Northern and Yorkshire - Chair, Secretary, Member Activity Lead, Communications Lead/Social Media Lead (role share)
North West - Treasurer, Communications Lead, Social Media Lead, Secretary and Member Activity Lead
Scottish Eastern – Vice-chair
Scottish Northern - Communications Lead and Social Media Lead
South East – Secretary
South West – Member Activity Lead
Trent - Communications Lead and Secretary
West Midlands - Communications Lead and Social Media Lead
Committees also welcome up to six co-opted members, who represent a type of membership or may contribute to a particular project. These may include representatives from higher education to retired members, new graduate members to UNISON.
