The Challenge
Occupational therapists working within some acute services were unable to measure impact and demonstrate outcomes for patients as no measures in place and they felt unable to identify one for their area.
The Change
Working with a small group, we carried out literature reviews and agreed to trial AusTOMs initially within five teams and test training resources, practical use and recording of results.
The Impact
There are now several teams within acute services who have adopted AusTOMs as their outcome measure showing positive results and valuable outcomes, clinically significant improvements have been recorded in activity levels.
